두산 베어스가 기존 FA 협상 기조를 이어 간다. 두산은 그동안 내부 FA가 시장에 나오면 적정가를 설정하고 그 범위를 크게 벗어나지 않는 선에서 계약을 진행했다. 더구나 올해는 내부 협상 대상자만 7명에 이른다. 오버페이는 있을 수 없는 현실이다.
KBO가 28일 발표한 FA 신청자는 유격수 김재호, 1루수 오재일, 3루수 허경민, 2루수 최주환, 중견수 정수빈, 투수 유희관과 이용찬이다. 두산은 아직 이들과 직접 만나지 못했다. 29일부터 협상이 가능했지만, 일요일이라 쉬어 갔다.
예상대로 두산 FA들을 향한 관심은 뜨거웠다. 시장이 열리기 전부터 어떤 선수를 어떤 구단이 원하는지 구체적으로 이야기 나오고 있다. 구단도 이런 외부 이야기를 모르지 않지만, 일단은 한번씩은 선수 측과 만나 대화를 나눌 계획이다.
