닛칸 스포츠 등 일본 언론들은 23일 한신이 협상을 진행하고 있던 알칸타라 영입을 공식 발표했다고 전했다.
알칸타라는 한신에서 등번호 44번을 단다. 스카이차가격 계약 세부 내용은 나오지 않았지만, 현지 매체들은 계약기간 2년, 연봉 200만 달러를 추정했다.
알칸타라는 구단을 통해 "한신에서 활약할 수 있는 기회를 주신 것에 감사드린다. 좋은 팀의 일원이 된 것을 자랑스럽게 생각한다. 한신 성동구사다리차 유니폼을 입고 플레이하게 돼 매우 기쁘다. 팀의 승리에 보탬이 될 수 있도록 항상 최선의 플레이를 할 것을 팬 여러분들에게 약속한다"고 말했다.
알칸타라는 지난해 KT 위즈에서 뛰며 11승11패 평균자책점 4.01을 기록했다. 2020시즌을 앞두고는 두산으로 이적, 20승2패 평균자책점 2.54를 올리며 다승왕을 차지했다.
한신은 일찌감치 알칸타라에 대한 관심을 드러냈고, 시즌 후부터 본격적인 협상을 시작했다. 결국 알칸타라와 손을 잡는데 성공했다.
한편, 한신은 2020 KBO리그 의왕용달이사 정규시즌 최우수선수(MVP) 멜 로하스 주니어와도 계약했다. 로하스와 계약은 아직 발표되지 않았다.
