프로야구 두산이 새 외국인 투수와 계약했다. 동시에 올해 에이스로 활약한 라울 알칸타라가 일본 한신 입단이 확정돼 스카이차가격비교 오버랩을 이뤘다.
두산은 23일 쿠바 출신 좌완 아리엘 미란다 영입을 발표했다. 계약금 15만 달러, 연봉 55만 달러, 인센티브 10만 달러 등 총액 80만 달러약 8억9000만 원)의 조건이다.
188cm 86kg의 미란다는 2016년 볼티모어에서 메이저리그에 데뷔했다. 2018년까지 빅리그 통산 44경기에서 223이닝 오늘의축구분석 동안 13승 9패 평균자책점 4.72를 기록했다.
2018년 7월 일본 소프트뱅크와 계약해 지난해까지 26경기 13승 6패 평균자책점 3.37의 성적을 냈다. 올해는 대만 중신 브라더스에서 뛰었는데 25경기 10승 8패 평균자책점 3.80을 기록했다.
두산 관계자는 "미란다는 높은 타점에서 나오는 직구가 위력적"이라면서 "직구 최고 시속은 151km, 올해 대만 리그에서 직구 평균 구속이 147km였다"고 소개했다. 이어 "변화구로는 슬라이더, 포크볼, 커브, 체인지업 강서구사다리차 두루 던진다"면서 "2년간의 일본 리그 경험을 바탕으로 유인구를 효과적으로 던지는 투수"라고 강조했다.
