볼프스부르크는 주전 공격수인 베르호스트를 토트넘이 노린다는 포장이사최저가 보도가 나오자 3500만유로를 제시하면 이적이 가능하다고 못 박았다. 적지 않은 금액으로 주전 공격수를 쉽게 내주지 않겠다는 의지를 보인 것이다.
토트넘은 현재 해리 케인의 백업 공격수 카를로스 비니시우스가 있지만 리그에선 단 한 경기만 교체로 출장했다.
물론 유로파리그에선 5경기에 나서서 3골 3도움을 기록해 토트넘중계 비니시우스는 여전히 경쟁력을 갖고 있지만 무리뉴 감독이 그를 리그에서 활용하지 않으면서 베르호스트의 이적설은 더욱 탄력을 받는 분위기다.
