미국여자프로골프(LPGA) 투어에서 2년 연속 상금왕을 차지한 고진영(25)이 27일 오후 귀국했다.

고진영은 21일 미국 플로리다주 네이플스에서 류현진중계 끝난 LPGA 투어 CME그룹 투어 챔피언십에서 우승, 2020시즌 상금왕에 올랐다.

지난해에 이어 2년 연속 LPGA 투어 상금 1위를 차지한 고진영은 올해 4개 대회에만 출전하고도 시즌 상금 166만 7천925 달러(약 18억4천만원)를 벌었다.

이날 귀국한 고진영은 2021년 1월 21일 미국 의정부포장이사 플로리다주 레이크부에나비스타에서 막을 올리는 2021시즌 개막전 다이아몬드 리조트 챔피언스 토너먼트에는 출전하지 않는다.

신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 확산에 대한 우려로 인해 이날 고진영의 귀국 때는 별도의 인터뷰가 성남스카이차 진행되지 않았다.
