포스팅 시스템을 통해 미국 메이저리그 사다리차가격 진출에 나섰던 김하성(25)의 행선지가 샌디에이고 파드레스로 결정됐다. 그와 더불어 2021시즌을 준비해야 하는 키움의 밑그림도 어느 정도 그려졌다. 남은 것은 김하성이 남긴 것을 이용하고, 그의 빈자리를 메우는 일이다.
미국 언론들은 지난 29일 김하성이 샌디에이고와 계약했다고 일제히 전했다. 규모는 4년간 2500만 달러(약 271억원)다. 김하성이 남긴 것 중 가장 큰 것은 바로 이 이적료다. 이천사다리차 포스팅 시스템이 바뀌면서 포스팅을 일단 허가한 구단은 나중에 진출여부를 강제할 수 없다. 대신 이적료에 비례한 금액을 구단의 몫으로 가져올 수 있다.
2500만 달러 이하면 구단은 총액의 20%를 받는다. 중랑구스카이차 총액이 2500만 달러에서 5000만 달러 사이일 경우에는 2500만 달러까지의 20%에다 2500만 달러를 초과한 액수의 17.5%를 추가로 받는다. 김하성의 계약이 2500만 달러일 경우 키움은 그 20%인 500만 달러의 이적료를 받는다. 한화로는 약 54억원이다. 앞서 키움은 2014년 강정호의 진출 때 500만 달러, 2015년 박병호 때 1285만 달러(약 139억 5000만원)를 받았다.
